TeKnowledge and Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village (ASYV) are joining forces to strengthen Rwanda’s AI leadership and future skills, connecting the leaders driving transformation today with the young people who will shape the country’s digital future.
The partnership brings together executive AI learning, practical capability building and future talent development, creating opportunities to build the skills, confidence and leadership needed to turn AI’s potential into meaningful outcomes.
Building AI capability at every level
As organisations look to move from AI ambition to practical execution, leaders play a critical role in turning that ambition into action.
Leaders need to look beyond the technology itself, identify where AI can create meaningful value and turn that potential into measurable outcomes.
At the same time, long-term impact depends on developing future talent with the skills, practical experience and mindset needed to thrive as AI reshapes the world of work.
Through the partnership, TeKnowledge and ASYV are bringing these two dimensions together, connecting executive development with longer-term investment in skills and talent.
Putting the partnership into action

The first initiative delivered through the partnership was the Executive AI Academy, a two-day immersive learning experience hosted at ASYV and attended by more than 10 executives.
The Academy was structured as a journey from learning to action, moving from “Rewire, Learn and Connect” on the first day to “Practice, Plan and Lead” on the second.
Rather than approaching AI as a technology topic alone, the program combined AI learning, leadership development, practical application, peer exchange and opportunities to translate new thinking into action.
The experience reflects a core principle behind the wider partnership: making AI real requires more than the right technology. It requires leaders and people with the skills and confidence to put it to work.

“The future of AI will be shaped not only by the technologies we build, but by the people who lead and use them. Through this partnership, we are creating opportunities for executives to lead AI transformation with confidence while helping young people develop the skills, capabilities and mindset needed to thrive in the digital economy.”,
Aileen Allkins, President and CEO, TeKnowledge
From executive leadership to future talent
The Executive AI Academy is one part of a broader collaboration. The partnership is also laying the foundation for the ASYV Future Skills Hub, focused on helping young people build the capabilities, confidence and leadership mindset needed for an AI-enabled future.
Through practical technology experiences, hands-on learning and real-world problem-solving, the initiative will create opportunities for young people to develop the skills needed to participate in, contribute to and help shape the future digital economy.
Together, the two initiatives create a connection between the boardroom and the classroom: building leadership capability among those navigating transformation today while investing in the people who will continue that transformation tomorrow.

“At ASYV, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to realise their full potential. This partnership strengthens our ability to prepare young people for the future by combining leadership development, technology education and real-world learning experiences.”,
Jean Claude Nkulikiyimfura, Chief Executive Officer, Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village.
A partnership designed for longer-term impact
The collaboration extends beyond a single Academy or learning experience. The Executive AI Academy marks the beginning of a broader focus on executive learning, future talent and capability building.
For TeKnowledge and ASYV, the ambition is to connect technology, leadership and skills to help build the foundations for lasting AI transformation.
By developing leaders who can make informed decisions about AI today and creating pathways for the next generation to build practical skills and experience, the partnership aims to strengthen AI capability across organisations and communities.
From the boardroom to the classroom, it is about building the leadership, skills and confidence needed to turn AI potential into meaningful outcomes for Rwanda.
